The Student Drug Testing Coalition  is currently compiling a report that will compare the different types of testing methods available to schools interested in establishing programs.  Many different options have arisen from a growing Workplace Testing Initiative that follows standard DOT (Dept. of Transportation) regulations and procedures.  While these ideals are the framework for our efforts, we feel that we are on the forefront of an entirely new industry that will demand its own set of regulations and procedures.  It is vital that schools thoughtfully consider the type of testing implemented, ensuring that it is FDA cleared, Contains appropriate screening levels, Confirmed by GC/MS Testing, and Cross referenced by a MRO (Medical Review Officer) or Licensed Physician for possible medications.
